Pearson Dogwood Neighbourhood

Located along Vancouver’s central skytrain corridor, the Pearson Dogwood site is recognized for major redevelopment as one of the City’s newest urban centres. EKISTICS was commissioned to re-envision the 25 acre historic healthcare site as a catalyst for sustainable design within a new transit-oriented urban neighbourhood. Planned as a complete community, the concept for Pearson Dogwood incorporates health and wellness facilities within a high-density mixed-use residential neighbourhood, supported by health care and research facilities, local shops and services, generous parks and community facilities, all with direct access to the Canada Skytrain Line. EKISTICS led the site programming, planning and urban design concept for Vancouver Coastal Health; developing an implementation strategy and financial model in collaboration with UBC Properties Trust to guide the sustainable development of one of Vancouver’s emerging new neighbourhood centres.
