First Forest Clubhouse

Near the 2008 Olympic site in Beijing, China, this building is the first in a series of commercial buildings situated along a winding pedestrian street in the newly master planned community of First Forest. The developers’ goal was to create a focal point for the project that is uniquely modern and distinctively Canadian. The clear glass cone supported by a Canadian manufactured glulam structure creates a large interior display and gathering space overlooking the community entrance, plaza, a waterfall and reflecting pool.
